Evidence from people who marked the charts themselves

These notes mention specific filters, habits, and constraints from our lessons. They are not ratings widgets — just what students chose to share after Foundations evenings, the Intensive, or a Chart Review.

“I used to chase every wide candle after the open. The Intensive forced me to measure range against the prior ten bars and wait for follow-through. I still overtrade on news days, but the false starts dropped enough that my journal is finally readable.”

Helen M. · Part-time ASX trader, Hornsby · Momentum Signal Intensive

“The review caught that I skipped volume confirmation whenever the first thrust looked clean. Hearing that said back to me was uncomfortable and useful.”

Rajiv S. · Futures desk, Sydney CBD · One-to-One Chart Review

“I needed swing vocabulary before the longer course. The evening was paced for people who mark by hand, not for people hunting shortcuts.”

Claire P. · Self-directed investor, Castle Hill · Chart Foundations Evening

“Pullback-failure drills on printed charts stuck better than another webinar. The mild downside: evening sessions after a full workday are tiring by week three, so plan your sleep.”

Tom W. · Swing trader, Central Coast · Momentum Signal Intensive

“Foundations stopped me pretending I already knew what a swing was. The Intensive then gave me a checklist I actually open before I touch the mouse.”

Anita K. · Retired teacher learning charts, Pennant Hills · Chart Foundations Evening + Intensive

Longer notes

From scattered screenshots to a two-filter rule

Tom arrived with a phone full of unmarked screenshots and three overlapping oscillators. Over the six sessions he reduced his live rules to thrust confirmation plus pullback failure, and parked the rest for weekend study. By the peer-review night he could explain why two of his ideas failed the volume filter before price reversed. He still papers trades during the US crossover rather than forcing Sydney marks onto thin lunch tapes.

Learning marks before money

Anita completed Foundations, then waited one intake cycle so she could practise marking swings on printed weekly charts. In the Intensive she focused on continuation entries after shallow pullbacks in quiet mid-caps. Her notes emphasise preparation: she prints the prior session before class and refuses to annotate live until the first structure bar closes.
