Cookies policy

This page explains how automated-platforms.digital uses cookies and similar storage. For broader privacy practices see our privacy policy.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Local storage may also hold a consent preference so the banner does not reappear on every visit.

How we use them

Essential cookies keep the site usable (for example remembering that you closed the consent banner). Optional analytics cookies help us understand which lesson pages are read most; they load only if you Accept on the banner. Rejecting optional cookies does not block browsing, forms, or enrolment enquiries.

Cookies table

Name Purpose Duration Provider
automated_platforms_cookie_consent Stores Accept or Reject preference for the cookie banner 1 year (localStorage) Automated Platforms
_ap_session Essential session continuity for form status messages where supported Session Automated Platforms
_ap_analytics Optional aggregated page-view counts for lesson pages 6 months Automated Platforms (only if accepted)

Managing cookies

Use Accept or Reject on the banner. You can also clear site data in your browser settings. Blocking all cookies may hide the banner preference and cause it to reappear.

Third-party cookies

Embedded fonts from Google Fonts may cause a network request to Google’s servers when pages load. We do not embed third-party advertising cookies.

Impact of disabling

Disabling optional analytics only reduces our visibility into which guides are useful. Essential functions — reading lessons, submitting enquiries, viewing the calendar — continue to work.
